Join us for the first meeting of DSSIN's Justice & Advocacy Team! As a team on the Immigrant Support Committee, his is an opportunity to focus on the policy and advocacy side of supporting our immigrant neighbors — showing up at public meetings, researching & following the money, building coalitions with legal and advocacy organizations, and making sure our elected officials hear from us before decisions are made, not after.

Also, this is our chance to meet each other, share what drew us to this work, and begin planning our inaugural event April 11, 2026, featuring Kentucky State Representative Nima Kuhlkarni.

Nima is an immigration attorney and founder of Indus Law Firm and the New Americans Initiative who will speak on "Standing With Our Neighbors: Immigrant Justice and Community Action."

We'll coordinate event logistics, outreach, and day-of responsibilities, and talk about coalition building and next steps for our team after the event. Whether you're already committed to the Justice & Advocacy Team or curious about getting involved, come help us launch this important work together!
