Blue Christmas Vigil: Christmas Caroling on the Winter Solstice
What is Blue Christmas?
The holidays can be painful for those experiencing grief, loss, loneliness, or hardship. A “Blue Christmas” vigil offers a compassionate space to acknowledge that pain and seek hope together, distinct from the usual festive cheer.
Why We Gather
On the longest night of the year, we remember our neighbors who are struggling:
> Immigrants detained by ICE in the Clark County Jail
> Families facing hunger as food banks stretch to meet growing needs
> Community members without housing
What to Bring:
Your singing voice
Your open heart
A food bank donation (if you’re able)
A candle (some will be provided)
We’d love to know if you’ll be there! Let us know.
